The year of 2020 has been a good one for UK online slots games. We’ve seen Play ’n GO embark on their ambitious quest to produce a slot game for every single week of the year. December, the time of writing this article, seems like a fitting time to look back on the year of 2020 and all of the amazing slot games that it has brought us. To do this, we’re going to tell you about our favourite online slot games of the year (so far).
Don’t get us wrong – it’s been incredibly difficult to put this list together as is the nature of the amount of competition, and narrowing down our shortlist to a simple top three was almost impossible to excuse us if you feel like we’re missing out some of the slots you felt were the best.
We used a combination of criteria to reach these decisions, and these included the overall gameplay of the slots, the RTP and the max win available to players. So, take a look and see if you agree with our top three slots of 2020!
Beast of Wealth (Play ’n GO)
After the super strong year that Play ’n GO have had, we felt that it would be rude not to include one of their efforts in our top list because they really have just been that good, despite the vast quantity of them.
It was a hard choice, but we particularly enjoyed the ‘Wealth’ trilogy from Play ’n GO this year. They’re beautifully designed Asian themed slots and the pick of the bunch is probably Beast of Wealth.
Centurion Megaways (Inspired Gaming)
This one is an absolute beast. We loved the original Centurion slot game and Inspired Gaming have brought it into the modern domain by updating the graphics in fine style and packing it with awesome bonus features.
As well as all that, they’ve added the Megaways engine, designed by Big Time Gaming. With all of its incredible 117,649 ways to win, Megaways is widely regarded as the best slot mechanism in the world so this and Centurion is in many ways the ultimate slot combination. Definitely not one to miss!
Vikings Go Wild (Yggdrasil Gaming)
Another online casino developer that has had a really strong year once again is the legends that are Yggdrasil Gaming, and perhaps their best work of 2020 has been Vikings Go Wild.
The Viking world is a very saturated slot game theme so it is hard to make a game within it that stands out from the crowd, but Yggdrasil Gaming have done that and then some thanks to some awesome graphics. Plus, there is loads of cash to be won here if you have some luck, so play your cards right and keep your fingers crossed.
