The History Behind Physics Wallah
The short form of Physics Wallah is PW. At first, the company was founded through a YouTube channel by Alakh Pandey. After that, the Physics Wallah founder made it an Ed-Tech platform. Alakh Pandey and the co-founder Prateek Maheshwari together developed an application specially designed for students who are preparing for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) in 2020. PW also brought some courses for school preparation, NDA, CA Foundation, GATE, SSC, IIT JAM, MBA, NEET PG, UPSC, PSC, CA Intermediate, CSIR NET, and CUET.
In early 2023, more than 10 million times the Physics Wallah Application has been downloaded. The Physics Wallah company reached the unicorn club with $100 million in funding.

As of August 2023, the educational company runs more than 100 offline centers across different cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bhopal, Varanasi, Noida, Pune, Kolkata, Siliguri, Guwahati, Malda, Patna, Faridabad, Ranchi and Srinagar.

Controversies
On the 21st match, 2021, many established Ed-Tech teachers complained about the company. According to those teachers, the vision of PW is being disillusioned. As a response, the company’s authority began an independent YouTube channel named “Sankalp.” Those teachers stated that their registration at PW was because of the environment at the company and that at the Kota Centre of PW, the quality of education is deficient, which is not enough for students as the education fee is not worth it.
As a response, the teacher of the educational company Physics, Wallah Pnkaj Sijairya, alleged in a video. Three ex-PW teachers, Tarun Kumar, Sarvesh Dixit, and Manish Dubey, were present. Those teachers were offered Rs. 5 Crore each to resign from the educational company and join Adda247. Those three teachers in a video claimed that Pankaj Sijairya falsely blamed them for accepting bribes from Adda247, a rival platform.
