Heather Dubrow is the wife of Terry Dubrow. Heather has twins Max and Nick, a girl named Kat, and the youngest child named Ace. Heather respects every personality of her children and encourages free talk among them.

In 2020, Max announced her mother that she is bisexual; in 2021, her sister Kat revealed that she is a lesbian; and in 2023, Heather made it known that their child Ace is a transgender.

Maximillia “Max” Dubrow

Maximillia “Max” Dubrow is the oldest child of Heather and Terry Dubrow. She was born on November 24, 2003, along with her twin brother, Nick. Max takes after Heather’s grandmother by her name. Max graduated from high school in 2022 and began college in Tufts University, Boston. Max publicly came out as a bisexual in 2020, at the age of 17.

Heather supported her daughter wholeheartedly and said that she would love her daughter unconditionally despite everything. Max helps others through her personal experiences. She authored I’ll Give It to You Straight-ish, a book of advice for parents of their teenagers coming out.

Max is also passionate about music. She auditioned for American Idol in 2020 and even appeared with Quiet Riot in 2017 in memory of her deceased uncle, Kevin DuBrow.

Nicholas “Nick” Dubrow

Nicholas “Nick” Dubrow is the second-born child of Heather and Terry Dubrow. He was born on November 24, 2003, together with his twin brother Max. The middle name “Kent” was chosen by Heather based on her maiden name. Nick completed high school education in 2022 before joining Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Nick maintains close relationships with Max. Prior to joining college, Nick, Max, and their mother, Heather, had themselves inked a dash and two dots that form the letter “D” in Morse Code. Nick has a lower social media presence compared to his brothers but occasionally posts pictures of Max and himself.

Katarina “Kat” Dubrow

Katarina “Kat” Dubrow is the third-born child of Heather and Terry Dubrow. She was born on October 5, 2006. Kat came out as a lesbian at 14 years old. She announced this information one year after that, prior to an episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County mentioning it. According to Kat, Max was able to make her feel more comfortable about herself.

By seeing how Max lived his life, Kat gained confidence to speak her truth. Kat revealed this information to her family in a group text. Initially, Heather didn’t see this information, but she immediately made sure Kat knew she was loved and supported.

Ace Dubrow

Ace Dubrow is the youngest child of Heather and Terry Dubrow. He was born on December 13, 2010. When Ace was nine months old, Heather began appearing on ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County.’ In March 2023, Ace came out as transgender. Heather shared the news by posting a photo taken on the beach, in which the name “Ace” was written in the sand.

Along with the photo, she included a loving message for her son: “We love you, our youngest son, Ace.” Terry Dubrow publicly supported his child and expressed gratitude for the love and support their family received. Heather believes that parents should provide a safe and supportive environment for their children.

She hopes for her son to grow into a strong, healthy, happy, and self-reliant individual. Heather Dubrow also mentioned that she wants to protect her son’s story so that, if he chooses, he can share it himself in the future. Ace has three older siblings—twins Max and Nick, and their sister Kat—all of whom support him unconditionally.

Heather discussed Ace’s transition on her podcast, ‘Let’s Talk with Heather Dubrow.’ After learning about Ace’s journey, many families reached out with messages filled with love, hope, and support. Terry described Ace as a strong-willed, complex individual with many wonderful qualities, adding that Ace is currently in the process of self-discovery and understanding who he is.

Heather does not believe that clothing should carry specific labels (such as “boys'” or “girls'” clothes). She maintains that clothes should simply be clothes, and that Ace is a “very cool kid.” Ace continues to grow up in a loving family environment.

Family Heather and Terry want their kids to succeed once they have left home. In 2024, Heather indicated that she had relocated from Orange County to Los Angeles so that her children had access to more inclusive opportunities because they identify as members of the LGBTQ community.
