An amazing and passionate actor on stage and screen, Brian loved his work and touched many lives, and he was taken too soon,” the statement reads. “We love him and will miss him terribly; Please remember Brian in your thoughts. Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days. As a family, we would ask for privacy at this time.

McCardy’s representation, United Agents, also expressed their grief in a post, writing “We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news of the sudden death of Brian McCardy. He was an actor of such great talent that it was our privilege to represent him.” It is a matter of concern and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
