Kurangu Peddle film produced by Sivakarthikeyan is all set to release on the silver screen soon. The film, set in Katheri village in the summer of the 1980s, highlights the relationship between a father who does not know how to ride a bicycle and his son, who is keen to learn cycling.

Kamalakannan revealed that ten years away from cinema gave him the confidence to finally make a film with children.
He said “Kurangu Pedal was supposed to be my directorial debut, at that time, I chose some kids and did a basic shoot with them for three days. This shoot was enough for me to realize that my career would be over before it even started as working with children was quite a challenging task. It took me ten years to come back and make Kurangu pedal,” says the director.
“Kurangu pedal’ is about a young boy’s dream of riding a bicycle and his father’s opposition,” he says, adding that the film is set in the 1980s. It is based on a village called Kaitheri. He said, “I want to take my audience on a trip down memory lane through this film.”
