The different difficulty levels alters the layout of the grid that the player must navigate. An example of an easier difficulty level is having more total tiles in a row with less obstacles. This means that the player is more likely to survive more rows, but the payoff for each row is less. An example of a harder game mode is having less tiles overall but more obstacles. The defence: auto cashout if available, or the discipline to tap the cashout button the moment the pre-set target is reached. The extra row is always tempting. It is never necessary.

Increasing bets after losses

Three rounds lost in a row. The player doubles the bet to recover. The fourth round also ends on the first row. The loss has tripled. The next round’s obstacles have not changed. They are still random. The bet increase responded to frustration, not information.

Choosing hard mode without matching bankroll
