  • It’s role-specific: Generic “AI 101” sessions don’t build the judgment needed for finance, marketing, ops, or client delivery roles individually.
  • It’s continuously reinforced: not a one-time onboarding event, because skills that once stayed relevant for 5 to 10 years now become obsolete in months.
  • It’s measured: Leading organisations track real capability, not just course completion rates.

Leaders increasingly say the shift needs to move from content delivery to capability building, and that distinction is the whole story. Anyone can hand employees a course library. Far fewer companies are building employees who can actually decide when and how to use AI in their specific jobs.
